ÀúÀÚ : Bongchul Kim ÀúÀÚ Bongchul Kim is a professor in International Economic and Trade Law at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS). He holds a PhD in Law at King¡¯s College London (University of London) with Overseas Research Scholarships (ORS) by the UK government. Professor Kim also holds Bachelor and Master Degrees of Law at HUFS. ÀúÀÚ : Ho Kim ÀúÀÚ Ho Kim is a Lecturer at HUFS. He holds a SJD at American University (Washington College of Law) and LLM at University of Minnesota Law School. Dr. Kim also holds Bachelor and Master Degrees of Law at HUFS. ÀúÀÚ : Joonpyo Lee ÀúÀÚ Joonpyo Lee is a Lecturer at HUFS. He holds a PhD, Master and Bachelor degrees in Law at HUFS. Currently, he has been delivering a research project on international issues of the Greater Mekong Subregion¡¯s Countries at Seoul National University. The reasons of rapid increase for Regional or Preferential Trade Agreements (RTAs or PTAs) in the international Economic and Trade related stage are promotion of trade and enhancement of bargaining power. Korea has joined many types of multilateral international agreements and also made several Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with its major economic partners. The Korean government thought that RTAs could be an effective
way to respond actively to the new trend of Regionalism in late 1990s. Since then, the government has continued to promote its FTA policy and improved the related laws.
